Terms of Service

iMasterArabic ("iMaster", "we", "us") is an online Lebanese Arabic language institute, teaching since 2003. We run private, Duo, children's and group lessons using our own method and our six published study books.

iMasterArabic is a sole proprietorship registered in Lebanon (commercial registration no. 2082987), based in Majzoub, Bsalim, Lebanon. You can reach us at info@imasterarabic.com or on WhatsApp at +961 3 403 709.

Every tutor is a native Arabic speaker, personally interviewed and selected by the iMaster team before they can teach. Tutors for adult lessons are trained in the iMaster method and teach with our own books. Tutors are independent teachers who work with us under a separate Tutor Agreement. Your agreement for lessons is with iMasterArabic, not with the individual tutor.

You need an account to book. Give accurate details, keep your password private, and you're responsible for what happens through your account.

Learners under 18 must be added by a parent or guardian as a child profile under the parent's own account. Children can't create accounts or make payments.

• Private lessons: 1-on-1, 60 minutes, online.
• Duo lessons: two named learners share one tutor and one prepaid pack, 60 minutes, online.
• Children's lessons (ages 4–17): 30 minutes for ages 4–7, 45 minutes for ages 8–12, 60 minutes for ages 13–17. Siblings or cousins close in age can share a session at the shared rate.
• Group courses (adults): small live classes on a fixed, published schedule, with a seat limit per course.
• Free trial: one free 30-minute trial per learner for private and Duo lessons. Group courses don't include a trial; you can see who teaches each course before enrolling, and take our free level test or ask us for a short online level assessment.

Lessons take place online, on the video platform your tutor uses (such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Skype); your link appears on your lesson page. Times are shown in the timezone saved on your account, so please keep it up to date.

In-person lessons, business programmes and courses for organisations are arranged separately. Where we agree a written quote or contract for those, it takes priority over these terms.

Prices are in US dollars and shown on our Pricing page. Lessons, packs and courses are paid in advance. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.

Group courses can be paid in two instalments. Paying the first instalment reserves your seat. The second instalment is still due if you stop attending or leave the course.

A pack gives you prepaid credits. Each lesson uses one credit (a Duo lesson uses one shared credit for both learners).

• Private and Duo credits are valid for two years from the date of payment. Unused credits expire after that.
• You can choose or change your tutor at any time; your credits stay with you, not with a specific tutor.
• You may transfer remaining private or Duo credits to a friend or family member. Just contact us and we'll move them.
• Credits have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money, except as described in the Cancellation Policy.
• Group course credits (issued under the Cancellation Policy) are separate: they're valid for 12 months, for group courses only, can be transferred to a friend or family member, and can't be exchanged for cash.

Group course sessions are recorded by the tutor and shared only with the participants of that course, so anyone who misses a session can catch up. By joining a group course, you agree to this. You can keep your camera off if you prefer.

Private, Duo and children's lessons are not recorded unless the learner (or parent) and the tutor both agree. Nobody may record another person without their consent.

Parents are responsible for their child's account and bookings. For younger children we recommend an adult stays nearby during lessons. Tutors contact children and parents only through the iMaster platform, and never ask a child for personal contact details. If anything concerns you, write to us straight away.

No harassment, discrimination, illegal content or abusive language, from anyone. Bookings and payments stay on the iMaster platform: please don't pay a tutor directly or arrange private lessons with a tutor you met through iMaster. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Our method, books, workbooks, audio, videos, vocabulary sets, course recordings and lesson materials belong to iMasterArabic. You may use them for your own learning. You may not copy, share, resell, or use them to teach others without our written permission.

You keep the rights to what you write, such as messages and reviews, and you allow us to show it where it belongs on the platform. Reviews must be about a real lesson you took.

Books and recorded courses are sold through our online shop under its own terms and refund policy.

We work hard to give you excellent teachers and a reliable service, but we can't guarantee the platform will always be available or free of errors. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the lesson, pack or course the claim is about. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

These terms are governed by Lebanese law. If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most issues are solved with a simple conversation. If you're a consumer living in another country, you keep any rights the consumer laws of your country give you.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll email you about significant changes before they apply to new bookings.
