Private, Duo and children's lessons: the 24-hour rule
| When you cancel or reschedule | What happens |
|---|---|
| More than 24 hours before the lesson | Free. A paid single lesson is refunded; a pack credit goes back to your balance. |
| Less than 24 hours before the lesson | The lesson is charged in full, or the credit is used. |
| No-show (you don't join within 15 minutes of the start) | The lesson counts as delivered and is charged in full. |
To cancel or reschedule, open My Bookings, choose the lesson and use Cancel or Reschedule. The 24 hours are counted from the lesson's start time.
Exceptional circumstances
In genuinely exceptional situations, such as a death in the family, a medical emergency or an accident, contact us as soon as you can. iMasterArabic may, at its discretion, reschedule the lesson at no charge. These are decided by the iMaster team, not by individual tutors, so every student is treated the same way.
Duo lessons
Both learners need to cancel more than 24 hours before the lesson to keep the shared credit. A late cancellation or no-show by either learner uses the credit for that session. If one learner still shows up, the tutor gives the lesson as planned.
Lesson packs and Duo packs
You can get a full refund on a prepaid pack within 14 days of purchase, as long as no sessions have been used. After 14 days, or once a session has been used, the pack, including remaining sessions, is no longer refundable. Unused sessions aren't lost, though: you can keep using them for up to two years from the date of payment, or transfer them to a friend or family member at any time. Just contact us.
Group courses
To cancel a group course booking, email us at info@imasterarabic.com. The date we receive your email is the date that counts, and we'll confirm it back to you.
The following cancellation terms apply based on the first session's start date:
| When you cancel or reschedule | What happens |
|---|---|
| 15 days or more before the first session | No charge. Anything you've paid is refunded. |
| 14 to 5 days before the first session | 50% of the course fee is charged and issued as Group Course credit; the remaining amount paid is refunded. |
| Less than 5 days before the first session | 100% of the course fee is charged and issued as Group Course credit only; no cash refund. |
| After the course has started | 100% of the course fee is charged. No automatic refund. |
When you cancel before the course starts and are charged (50% or 100%), the full amount charged becomes a credit you can use for another group course.
If you leave a course after it has started, you won't get an automatic refund, but you can contact us and we may offer a partial credit note at our discretion.
Group course credits are valid for 12 months, can only be used for group courses (not private lessons or books), can be transferred to a friend or family member, and can't be exchanged for cash. We can't guarantee the same course will be running when you're ready to use your credit.
If you paid in two instalments, the second instalment is still due if you cancel after the course has started.
Missed sessions: there's no refund or replacement session for a missed group class. After every session your tutor emails the recording and homework to all participants, so you can catch up before the next class.
If your tutor cancels
If a tutor cancels or doesn't show up, you're never charged. The lesson or credit goes back to your balance straight away, and we'll help you rebook, with another tutor if you prefer. If a group session is cancelled by us, we'll reschedule it.
Technical problems
If a lesson can't go ahead because of a problem on our side or the tutor's, contact us and we'll restore the credit or reschedule at no cost. Please try to reconnect for at least 10 minutes first.
