The story behind iMaster, a new approach to learning Arabic
Since our founding in 2012 we have been on a journey to change the way people learn Arabic around the world. Frustrated by outdated, traditional teaching, we knew there had to be a better way. That is why we built an approach focused on practical, real world language skills instead of endless grammar drills.
Our classes are lively and engaging, led by native Arabic speaking teachers who make learning interactive. Students join us from over 100 countries and practise speaking and listening in small online sessions. With our curriculum you will be speaking and reading Arabic sooner than you expect.
Ultimately our goal is to inspire a global community of learners who see the beauty in this rich language. Arabic has the power to connect people across cultures, so we are committed to making it accessible to everyone, whatever your background or level.

Ahlen! Allow me to introduce myself - Nayla, a proud Lebanese native who has called the Netherlands home for more than 20 years.
As the founder of iMasterArabic and the author of our books and method, teaching has remained my passion throughout my 20-year career. Nothing quite compares to the joy of being in the classroom with my students, where all worries fade into the background.
My ultimate goal is to ignite the same passion for learning Arabic within my pupils and make every moment of their language journey a joyous one. By immersing them in the rich culture of this fascinating language, my students will be able to apply their newly acquired knowledge with ease and confidence.
Our method
Not just directions to the souq, real reading too
Over the past 20 years we developed, improved and fine tuned our method, built on six comprehensive study books with audio recordings and videos. We are not only teaching you how to ask for directions to the souq, we also make sure you can read Arabic books, articles and news like a pro.
Spoken first
Levantine Arabic as it is actually used in daily life, so you can talk from your first lessons.
Modern Standard too
You also learn written MSA, the official language of schools, books and the news.
Six book progression
Workbooks, audio, video and thousands of vocabulary sets that build skill by skill.
What sets our teaching apart is this blend of Modern Standard Arabic and spoken Levantine Arabic, which mirrors how the language is really used in the Arab world. Colloquial Arabic is the predominant form of communication, while MSA is the official written language. Our approach gives you the tools to speak colloquially and still read books, articles and follow the news.

Our study material
Our material is the Swiss Army knife of language learning. It is designed to build every skill: speaking, understanding spoken and written Arabic, reading and writing. It consists of six workbooks, audio recordings, videos and thousands of vocabulary sets, with plenty of humour, colour and illustration to keep the learning enjoyable.
We considered keeping the method to ourselves, but we believe in sharing knowledge with anyone who has the discipline to study on their own, so our material is open to everyone who shares our passion for Arabic.
