Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information iMaster collects when you use our website and lessons, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Who we are
iMasterArabic is an online Lebanese Arabic language institute, registered in Lebanon (commercial registration no. 2082987). When you create an account or book a lesson, we act as the controller of your personal data.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, country, gender and your reason for learning.
- Child profiles added by a parent: first name, age or level, and lesson history.
- Tutor applications: biography, experience, languages, documents and certifications, introduction video and payout preferences.
- Lesson data: bookings, availability, timezone, attendance, messages with your tutor and reviews you write.
- Payment data: the amount, currency and status of a purchase. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored on our servers.
- Group course recordings: group sessions are recorded and shared only with participants of that course.
- Technical data: basic log and device information needed to keep the service secure and working.
Why we use it
- To create and run your account and show lesson times in your own timezone.
- To arrange, confirm, reschedule and cancel lessons, and to pay tutors.
- To send service messages such as booking confirmations, reminders and changes.
- To review tutor applications and keep the marketplace safe and trustworthy.
- To meet accounting, tax and legal obligations.
Who can see your data
Your tutor sees the information needed to teach you: your name, timezone, lesson history and any messages you send. Administrators can see account and booking records for support and safety. We also rely on trusted service providers for hosting, email, payments and video meetings. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and lesson records are kept while your account is active and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution reasons. Messages and reviews stay with the lesson history they belong to.
Children
Learners under 18 must be added and managed by a parent or guardian through a parent account. Children cannot create their own account or make payments.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to stop using it for a given purpose. Most details can be changed yourself in Account settings. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Access to data is protected by authentication and row-level database rules, so learners, tutors and administrators only reach the records they are allowed to see. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, unique password.
